Shelly II - Moving Gear Steampunk Tie

Shelly - Cherry front with Red Oak Moving Gears Bow Tie.   Named after the steampunk horror author Mary Shelley who wrote the Gothic novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. The "Shelley II" is a piece of kinetic steampunk art, this is not your professor's bow tie. A laser engraved cherry with red oak wooden gears, and an industrial design mahogany background bow tie shape brings this classic steampunk design together. Cherry is our favorite wood to engrave. Wood bow ties made from cherry have good contrast, so we use cherry for bow ties with intricately engraved designs. The great contrast and naturally large grain of cherry means that these bow ties are highly recognizable. Red Oak is a lighter wood with a red tone and smaller grain. We use red oak for bow ties with big, bold designs that rely on outstanding shapes. This custom bow tie is a part of the Club Round Collection.
