Shell Shutter Dog

Shutter Dogs are a great way to add an authentic finishing touch to your shutters. They not only allow for a unique design but also are designed to hold open your shutters during windy or inclement weather. Each dog carries more weight at the bottom, so they naturally hang in the vertical position, holding your shutters open. To close your shutter, simply swing the dog up and out of the way.  Each design is a careful reproduction of an antique with excellent detailing. The lag bolt measures 4-1/2″ and is suitable for most applications. Shutter Dogs mount to the house, not to the shutter. Powder-coated black and hand sand cast in iron.
