Shell Serving Spoon - Brass

Hand carved and cast from a naturally found shell, the Shell Serving Spoon carries the quiet irregularity of something discovered rather than designed. Its form echoes the coastline- soft curves, subtle ridges, and a surface that feels worn by time and tide, translating the language of the ocean into an object meant for the table.  Formed in solid, lead-free brass with forged elements. The balance feels grounded in hand, while the sculptural bowl introduces a sense of movement, elevating even the simplest act of serving into something more considered. Designed to move fluidly through the table from shared dishes to quiet, individual moments. It functions as both utensil and object. Not just for serving, but for gathering, for passing, for the small rituals that unfold between courses. Over time, the unlacquered brass will deepen and darken, developing a patina that reflects its use—each meal leaving behind a trace. An object for the table. A piece to return to. Hand wash only. Brass will naturally patina over time—polish with lemon juice and baking soda if a brighter finish is desired, or allow the surface to age as part of the piece’s story.
