Shell Armchair by Bross

The Bross Armchair is a striking example of Italian modern design that marries sculptural form with functional comfort. Its most distinctive feature is a wide, thin curved plywood panel—fashioned into a graceful shell shape—that forms both the backrest and part of the seating area. The backrest is positioned slightly downward, partially concealing the seat to create a sense of intimacy and refinement, while the rear legs are cleverly arranged to hide a robust metal support structure, ensuring a sleek, uninterrupted silhouette. Crafted in American walnut or oakwood with options for natural, stained, or matte lacquered finishes, the chair can be tailored to suit a variety of interiors. An upholstered seat—available in fabric or leather—adds an extra layer of comfort and style. Launched in 2014 and part of the Shell collection by Bross, this chair is versatile enough to enhance sophisticated residential settings, stylish dining spaces, or contemporary public areas. Overall, the Bross Shell Armchair is not only a functional piece of seating but also a work of art that embodies ergonomic design and timeless elegance.
