Mad Chemist Vehicle Shampoo

Mad Chemist atomic wash pH-neutral decontaminant To maintain the integrity of the Mad Chemist Atomic Armor 75 shield, you need a decontamination agent that cleans without stripping the molecular bond. This formula is a high-performance surfactant-driven concentrate designed to lift grit while preserving the "slick" protective layer.   Technical data: Mad Chemist Car Shampoo   Mad Chemist Car Shampoo is a high-sudsing, lubricating cleanser engineered specifically for maintained vehicles. While most "retail" soaps use harsh degreasers that can dull even a highly engineered ceramic finish, the Mad Chemist has formulated a organic salt-stabilized surfactant matrix that suspends dirt in a "hydro-web," allowing it to be rinsed away without scratching the underlying coating. Don't wash your car with dish soap like a madman—use the science of the Mad Chemist. Mad Chemist Car Shampoo is the only cleanser designed to respect the atomic bond. It's tough on dirt, but gentle on the Armor. 1. The molecular "cleansing" architecture Component class The Mad Chemist's purpose The primary driver A powerful anionic surfactant that generates "atomic foam" to encapsulate dirt. The foam stabilizer   A high-performance covalently linked positive and negative ions that maintain "shave-cream" style suds even in hard water. The viscosity anchor Used to "thicken" the solution, ensuring it clings to vertical panels for longer dwell time to trap dirt and grime before you break a sweat. 2. Performance & lab specs pH-neutral equilibrium: Safely removes road film and organic contaminants without attacking the your coating. Hyper-lubricity formula: The chemistry creates a microscopic "cushion" between your wash mitt and the paint, preventing the swirl marks that haunt unscientific wash methods. Free-rinse technology: Engineered to leave zero film or gloss enhancers behind. Hard-water resistant: Chelating properties ensure that mineral deposits are kept in suspension, preventing "water spotting" during the wash cycle. 3. The "Mad Chemist" wash protocol The dilution: Add 1-2 ounces of Mad Chemist Car Shampoo to a 5-gallon bucket. The foam cannon (optional): Dilute 1:10 in a foam lance for a "snow-storm" effect that pre-soaks the car, breaking the static bond of road grime. The agitation: Use a high-quality microfiber mitt. The highly engineered surfactants will lift dirt into the pile, away from the paint. The final rinse: Rinse from the top down. Watch as the Mad Chemist Car Shampoo disappears, leaving nothing but an atomic clean surface. Here are the optimized ratios for the Mad Chemist Shampoo: 1. The "snow storm" ratio (foam cannon) Best for: Touchless pre-soaking and maximum dwell time. Ratio: 1:10 (3 oz product to 30 oz water). The science: At this concentration, the Mad Chemist shampoo creates a "shave-cream" consistency. This allows the surfactants to cling to vertical panels for 5–8 minutes, chemically breaking the static bond of road film before you ever touch the paint. 2. The "atomic bucket" ratio (contact wash) Best for: Traditional two-bucket wash method. Ratio: 1:400 (approx. 1.5 oz product per 5-gallon bucket). The science: This is the "sweet spot" for lubricity. It provides enough chemistry to encapsulate grit in the wash mitt while maintaining a neutral pH that won't stress the Atomic Armor 75 coating. 3. The "heavy decon" ratio (pump sprayer) Best for: Cleaning wheel wells, engine bays, or heavily salted rocker panels. Ratio: 1:5 (6 oz product to 30 oz water). The science: A high-strength dose to maximize the "wetting" action on porous surfaces. Even at this strength, the lack of harsh hydroxides makes it safe for the underlying metal. A quick technical note on stability: Avoid storing the concentrate below 40°F (4°C). If the product gets too cold, the salt can cause the surfactants to "cloud" or drop out of the water matrix, requiring a warm-up and a shake to re-homogenize the "atomic" blend. Mad Chemist note: For the ultimate "recharge," follow this wash with a mist of Mad Chemist Ceramic Spray while the car is still wet to boost the slickness of the shield.
