Duality - acrylic - I created a painting titled "Duality" in dedication to my daughters, capturing their essence as both distinct and unified beings. In this work, I represented one as red and the other as yellow, reflecting their unique preferences and personalities. From the moment they could speak and comprehend the world around them, one daughter gravitated towards the color red and loved poppy flowers, while the other was drawn to yellow and adored sunflowers. It amazed me how these choices in colors and flowers transcended into expressions of their individual personalities, resembling the concept of yin and yang. To me, red and yellow symbolized more than just their favorite colors; they embodied the vibrant duality of my daughters. Red conveyed passion, energy, and a certain intensity that resonated with one of them, while yellow represented warmth, optimism, and a sunny disposition for the other. This contrast yet complement between them was beautifully balanced, much like yin and yang. Through this painting, I aimed to illustrate how their diverse elements came together as a harmonious whole. Despite their differences, they share an unbreakable bond, enhancing each other and creating a dynamic blend of color and personality. "Duality" stands as a celebration of my daughters' individuality and their connection, a visual testament to their unique and intertwined journey through life. “ Be the change “ canvases Size 28” x 32” Thickness .75” Xtinctio for the Survival of the Species
