Seziar - Vintage Distressed Rug - 6'6 X 10'0

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece celebrates Anatolian heritage through a flatwoven construction, featuring a faded patina, abrash detail, and overdyed finish. With its low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave, soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, and sun-bleached tones, it represents the pinnacle of vintage-inspired design. About This Style Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. These pieces reference the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition, where items were produced in small village workshops using regional motifs. Distressed rugs incorporate a surface treatment that mimics natural age and wear, such as selectively faded zones or erased pile areas. This process often involves overdyeing, where a rug is submerged in a saturated single-colour bath to reveal ghost traces of the original pattern beneath the wash. Where It Works The flatweave construction ensures this rug lies flat against the floor, making it highly suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. Its low-profile design is ideal for layering over larger rugs or placing in spaces with underfloor heating.
