Sew Fun: A Tote Workshop - 10 Jun 2026

In this hands-on workshop, you'll sew a sturdy, lined tote bag complete with an interior pocket — finished at a roomy 14 inches tall. A pattern will be provided, along with a selection of basic thread colors. To participate, you'll need to bring 1 yard of exterior fabric (canvas, duck cloth, denim, or cotton all work great) and ½ yard each of lining fabric and fusible interfacing. Feeling creative? Upcycled materials like old jeans or shirts are warmly encouraged! If you have a sewing machine, bring it along; if not, we have four machines available for use in class.   Guest Instructor: Shondell Dahm is the owner of The Stitch Witch Vermont, a custom embroidery and sewing studio based in Southern Vermont. With a background in education, she previously taught high school Spanish and developed sewing clubs that introduced students to textile arts. She looks forward to teaching this course and helping students develop both skill and confidence.
