This intense hydrating treatment provides the amount of moisture skin needs to function properly and feel comfortable. The effect is instant, as the fine lines caused by dehydration are plumped up. Hyaluronic acid is an essential molecule naturally found in the skin. Its role is to fill the gap between epidermal cells to plump up the skin and protect it against dehydration. In cosmetics, it comes in various forms, the first type, known as “high molecular weight”, stays on the surface of the epidermis and creates a protective film which prevents the water in the skin from evaporating. The second, known as “low molecular weight”, takes the form of smaller molecules which penetrate more deeply into the epidermis to enhance and stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid naturally occurring in the body.
