SER110c Seraphinite Cabochon

This polished Seraphinite cabochon displays medium to dark green with bright spots of metallic chatoyancy with a fibrous appearance. The back has a small chip in the stone on one of the corners, which would be covered with a metal setting but may require more work to cover with a wire-wrapped setting. 29mm x 31mm Designer Cabochons: The Gem Shop, Inc. produces free form designer cabochons for the custom metal smith, hobbyist, and collector. All of our cabs are one-of-a-kind. These cabs have a slightly beveled edge, buff (slightly curved) top, and flat unpolished back, unless otherwise noted. All have the Gem Shop mirror-like polish!  From Russia, Seraphinite is a type of clinochlore that is named for its feathery appearance - drawing from the biblical seraphim angels. The mineral grows in massive form within metamorphic rock and consistently shows shades of forest green with silvery chatoyancy in radiating plumes.
