Septarian Egg -- Septarian Nodule Amulet in Bronze

Septarian nodules are essentially balls of primordial that mud baked and cracked. Over time, the cracks are healed with calcite and aragonite crystal. The outer shell is coated with limestone. Cut at a cross section, they look like words from an eldritch runic script. Wondrous creations of nature! The ancient name 'Septarian' means 'Seven-fold' because it was believed that they always cracked in seven directions. They are also known as Dragonstones. Septarian are broken yet beautifully healed, wild yet contained, and make wonderful amulets for strength and survival. These gorgeous egg-shaped nodule cross sections have been mounted in nests of bronze. Chain is not included, but there are custom chains available in our shop. For this piece, the heavy curb chain is my favorite. Each is unique and very limited supply. You may make a custom selection from the stones available.
