Sentimental Journey Lyons Studios Limited Edition Aviation Print

One look at Sam Lyons' Sentimental Journey is all it will take to stir up feelings of nostalgia in anyone with a passion for the purest form of flight. This breathtaking 17" x 26" illustration depicts a stunning yellow clipped-wing Piper J-3 Cub slipping the surly bonds against a gorgeous natural backdrop. The exquisite setting is perfectly appropriate for a Piper flight, as it features the William T Piper Memorial Airport (KLHV) in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, the longtime headquarters of Piper Aircraft. The image's title is also fitting, as it's the same as an annual fly-in to the facility. Those familiar with the aerodrome will appreciate Lyons' spot-on representation of the airport, including the rolling landscape in the background and the Susquehanna River flowing just past the field. If you've not yet visited KLHV, you'll surely want to after viewing this picture. This item is available as both an Artist Proof (limited to 45) and a signed & numbered Limited Edition print (limited to 450). Both versions are printed on acid-free paper, utilize first-rate permanent inks, and include a Certificate of Authenticity. An exceptional emotional excursion that passionate pilots will want to relive again and again.
