Sensory Forest #1 Activity Wall Panel

The Sensory Forest Activity Panel #1 by Moje Bambino brings a woodland scene to the wall and packs multiple hands-on activities into a single birch panel. Two trees with tactile fabric leaf panels anchor the design, and the forest floor below is filled with interactive elements. Size: 46¼"h x 51¼"w x 1¾"d Multiple activities including fabric slides with varied fasteners, a sound-making hedgehog with a rubbing stick, a bead maze, a magnetic pathfinder, and a sliding ball nest. The theme is cohesive enough that the whole panel reads as a scene rather than a collection of parts. Each element targets a different sense or skill, touch, sound, visual tracking, fine motor control. This means children move between activities naturally rather than exhausting one and walking away. For waiting rooms and early childhood spaces, that variety is what sustains engagement across a full visit. The textile surfaces offer a tactile contrast to the smooth wood of the panel — children press, pat, and stroke the leaves as part of open-ended sensory exploration. Bird's Nest - Sliding Ball A wooden nest with a yellow ball that slides and spins. Simple cause-and-effect engagement for younger toddlers. Fabric Slides with Fasteners A metal rod strung with fabric strips, each finished with a different type of fastener. Children slide the strips back and forth and work the fasteners — an activity that directly targets fine motor control and the kind of hand strength and dexterity that early childhood curricula build toward. Sound Hedgehog - Rubbing Stick A milled wooden hedgehog with a ribbed surface and a wooden stick. Running the stick across the ridges produces a rasping sound - a simple acoustic feedback loop that children find immediately rewarding and return to repeatedly. One of the more distinctive elements on the panel. Bead Maze and Magnetic Pathfinder A wire bead maze and a corded magnetic pathfinder wand sit at the base of the panel. Both require deliberate hand control and sustained attention - the pathfinder wand stays with the panel on its cord, so there is nothing to lose between uses. Blueberry Pipe A decorative pipe with a blueberry and leaf application - a tactile and visual detail that reinforces the woodland theme and gives younger children something to investigate and touch. Where These Work Best Pediatric Waiting Rooms The forest theme is calm and familiar - trees, a hedgehog, berries - which works in favor of a waiting room that needs to settle rather than stimulate. Children who arrive anxious or overstimulated are drawn to the tactile and acoustic elements at their own pace. No loose parts, no cleanup, and a corded wand that stays in place mean staff involvement between patients is minimal. Sensory Rooms and Therapy Spaces The panel covers tactile, acoustic, visual, and fine motor modalities in a single installation. For occupational therapists working on sensory processing, the fabric leaves, ribbed hedgehog, and varied fasteners each offer a distinct sensory input that can be used purposefully within a session. The wall-mounted format keeps the floor clear and the activity contained. Early Childhood Classrooms and Libraries Installed in a classroom corner or library discovery area, the Sensory Forest panel functions as a permanent, self-directed activity station. The range of elements - tactile, acoustic, fine motor - means it supports different learning goals depending on which child is using it and which element they gravitate toward. No setup, no cleanup, no facilitation required.
