Sennheiser HD660S2 Open Back Headphones

Sennheiser HD660S2 Open Back Headphones Elevate your musical journey with the HD 660S2 by Sennheiser, a refined successor to the HD 660S, boasting audiophile-grade specifications and an enhanced bass response. Immerse yourself in a captivating auditory adventure, courtesy of features like an optimized steel mesh surround, improved transducer airflow, and lighter yet higher-impedance aluminum voice coils. This results in impactful and extended sub-bass performance, allowing you to discern the deepest piano notes and bass drum beats without compromising comfort or the fidelity of natural sound reproduction. These over-ear headphones, featuring an open-back design and ultrasoft velour earcups, guarantee exceptional comfort during extended listening sessions. The perfectly matched drivers ensure an intimate and high-fidelity listening experience with a minimal ±1 dB channel difference. The HD 660S2 includes two detachable cables in 1/4" unbalanced and 4.4mm balanced options, accompanied by a convenient 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter and a portable carry pouch. Enhanced Impact and Emotional Resonance Experience a transformative expansion of the entire sound spectrum, especially in the sub-bass frequencies. Sennheiser's meticulous engineering, doubling the sound pressure at the lowest frequencies, maintains extraordinary precision and balance across sub-bass, mid-bass, and beyond. The extension on the low-end creates a more spacious sonic landscape, elevating highs, deepening the soundstage, and intensifying emotional connections. Headphones that Match Comfort with Sound Quality The velour earpads of the HD 660S2 provide a tactile pleasure, offering the right tension for optimal acoustic positioning and supple padding for prolonged comfort. The open-back design ensures a comfortable listening environment even during lengthy sessions, and the lightweight construction and ergonomic headband eliminate any potential discomfort. Combined with exceptional Irish build quality, the listening experience is not only acoustically pleasing but also physically satisfying. A Modern Take on a Legendary Line Continuing the legacy of Sennheiser's high-end headphones, the HD 660S2 inherits the balanced and natural reproduction that inspired generations. Sharing visible and audible DNA with its predecessors, the HD 660S2 features a revised coil matching the 300-ohm impedance of the iconic HD 600 and HD 650. This new coil provides higher magnetic force and electrical dampening, resulting in cleaner impulse response. The compliant surround, with a resonant frequency of 70 Hz, contributes to greater precision, speed, and resolution, delivering double the sound pressure at the lowest frequencies. Key Technical Advancements Optimized transducer airflow reduces air leakage and enhances low-frequency acoustic pressure. Lightweight Duofol aluminum voice coils with a 300-ohm impedance improve electrical damping and detail retrieval. Twice the sound pressure at 20 Hz compared to previous models enhances the impact of percussion and electronic music. Stronger response above 5 kHz enhances perceived clarity, while a smoother response ensures more natural reproduction. A uniquely powerful vented magnet system minimizes distortion. 38mm high-performance dynamic drivers provide exceptional audio quality. Steel mesh baffle reduces permeability and augments bass response for a balanced and superior imaging experience.
