Sempervivum 'Highland Mist'

Description Light/Soil/Water Hardiness Sempervivum ‘Highland Mist’ (Mitchell) forms a compact shamrock-green rosette coated in a layer of silvery fuzz, giving the entire plant a soft, dewy or misted appearance. The fine hair-like coating helps reflect light and adds texture to the rosette. This variety offsets readily and will spread to fill available space, making it well suited for rock gardens, crevice plantings, and outdoor containers. Sempervivum plants originate from mountainous regions of Europe, where they are adapted to bright sun, rocky soils, and cold winters. ‘Highland Mist’ performs best outdoors, maintaining tight rosettes and consistent coloration throughout the seasons. Full sun to partial sun Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 50%-70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot. Non-toxic to dogs, cats, and horses (Pet-friendly). Zones 5-10
