Self-Forgiveness Worksheet

Self-forgiveness is about letting go of guilt and learning from past mistakes to move forward. This process takes time and involves changing how one feels, thinks, and acts. Some clients find this challenging but essential for their personal growth and emotional well-being. The Self-forgiveness Worksheet is a helpful tool that allows young clients to move on from past wrong behaviors and practice self-compassion so they can have a better relationship with themselves and those around them. This worksheet starts by listing the amazing benefits of forgiving themselves, followed by spaces where they can write down their thoughts and feelings. Finally, clients can come up with a few self-forgiveness affirmations that promote emotional healing. Completing this worksheet helps young people work toward self-forgiveness, which frees them from guilt and self-blame. As they go through the process, they can practice positive self-talk and seek support from trusted people. Adults caring for them can support this process by offering reassurance and reminding them of their inherent worth and dignity. They can also introduce simple daily practices, such as setting aside a few minutes each day to write down positive affirmations or achievements, which helps shift the child’s focus from past mistakes to personal growth. *This item is an instant digital download.
