If the Flintstones had a TV, it would have been made out of this. These selenite TV shards are thin, naturally translucent pieces of selenite that have an almost screen-like quality when held up to light. Selenite is a crystalline variety of gypsum, a mineral known for forming everything from delicate transparent sheets to massive crystal formations. Its softness allows it to split easily along flat planes, creating these neat little shards. Hold one over text or an image and things can appear distorted, shifted, or magnified through the crystal, giving it an old television-screen kind of effect. Hence the name. According to Metaphysics: Selenite is associated with cleansing, clarity, and removing stagnant energy. Whether you’re into that side of things or just like minerals that do something cool when you look through them, these make a fun addition to any rock collection.
