It also pairs naturally with other selenite home pieces if you want a matching set on your altar and around your neck. How to wear it The necklace comes with a chain and is light enough for daily wear. Because selenite is soft, handle it gently — avoid letting it knock against hard surfaces or jewelry, and lay it flat rather than balling up the chain. Natural variation means the glow and shape of your moon pendant may differ slightly from the photo. Some people also like to slip it off and set it on a small dish overnight, simply to let it rest away from constant handling. Care & cleansing Selenite is water-soluble and will dissolve or dull if it gets wet, so remove the necklace before showering, swimming, or applying lotion, perfume, or hairspray. Wipe it gently with a dry, soft cloth. To refresh its energy, many people use sound, smoke, or a brief rest under moonlight rather than water.
