Sapphire crystal vs glass (Mineral Crystal): The primary differences between sapphire crystal and glass (mineral crystal) are their composition, durability, and scratch resistance. Sapphire Crystal: Made from synthetic sapphire, which is crystallized aluminum oxide, it is extremely hard and highly scratch-resistant. Sapphire crystal is less prone to scratches and has superior clarity compared to glass. However, while it is highly durable, it can shatter upon impact. Mineral Glass: This is a tempered glass that is more affordable and offers decent scratch resistance, but it is significantly softer than sapphire. Mineral glass is more prone to scratching, but it is generally more shatter-resistant than sapphire due to its flexible nature. Overall, sapphire crystal is favored for premium watches due to its superior scratch resistance and clarity, while mineral glass is often used in more budget-friendly options Additional Information: Seiko Mod Speedmaster Homage - Black White Water Resistance: Rated at 100m (330ft).
