Segunda D

The Segunda D-Ring Bit features a stainless steel central mouthpiece with an upward-facing port that applies pressure to the palate, encouraging proper head elevation. The design maintains tongue contact to prevent leaning or bracing. Paired with D-ring cheekpieces, this bit provides lateral stability and prevents the bit from sliding through the horse’s mouth, supporting clear and consistent contact. Ideal for horses that benefit from steady contact, require assistance with head elevation, or respond well to tongue and palate pressure. Features of the Segunda Mouthpiece : Curved Central Mouthpiece : The distinctive port concentrates pressure on the bars and the palate when the reins are engaged, encouraging proper head carriage. Lifting Action : Focused pressure encourages the horse to lift its head, improving posture and responsiveness. Discourages Leaning : The design prevents the horse from leaning on the bit or placing its tongue over the mouthpiece, supporting correct mouth positioning. D-Ring Design Features: Lateral Stability : The fixed D-shaped rings provide lateral stability, preventing the bit from sliding through the horse’s mouth and offering more precise control during turns. Direct Communication : The D-Ring allows for a more stable and direct connection between the rider's hands and the horse’s mouth, making it suitable for horses that need clearer guidance and more consistent contact. Gentle Guidance : While providing stability, the D-Ring design ensures smooth and gentle communication between horse and rider, encouraging responsiveness without discomfort.
