Seeding Square - Seed Sowing Template

Inspired by the Square Foot Gardening method, the Seeding Square is an innovative way to maximize your garden space. Invented by a husband-wife duo who were tired of having garden failures and a big mess of weeds mixed in with their new seedlings, the folks at Seeding Square have literally thought of everything to make planting your garden seeds a snap. For young and old, beginners and experts, the Seeding Square takes the guesswork and chaos out of planting your garden. After using the Seeding Square, your garden will be tidy and efficient, and you will reap double or even triple the harvest. Seeding Square - Seed Sowing Template This colorful one foot square and one inch deep tool comes complete with everything you need to get your garden seeds in the ground at the correct depth and spacing. Use the planting guide to know the spacing and depth for your seeds. The included wand has convenient depth dimensions marked on the side to assist you as you poke the seed holes. Flip the wand around and the wand is a spoon to scoop your seeds out of the seed packets and drop into the holes. The included funnel guides your seeds to their designated hole. It’s as simple as poke, press, and plant. That’s it! (Well, add some water too, of course!) Perfectly Spaced Seeds The holes in the Seeding Square are color coded, corresponding with the color-coded planting guide to tell you the spacing for your seeds to maximize your space. Depending on your seed variety, you may plant 1, 4, 9, or 16 perfectly spaced seeds per square. The 1” side walls leave a grid impression in your soil, thus helping organize and maximize your garden space. Use the four convenient handholds to move your seeding spacer into position. All materials used are ROHS compliant. The wand/spoon and funnel magnetize to the back of the square for easy storage, and all come in a reusable storage bag, taking up minimal space. Makes Weeding Easier Besides maximizing your garden space, the Seeding Square also makes weeding a snap. Because you’ll know exactly where your seeds are planted, any sprout of a weed coming up in empty space can be easily spotted and plucked up, before they take over. There is great benefit in knowing where your plants will be coming up. This also helps as you set up trellises or plant companion flowers in your garden. Well-spaced plants don’t leave much room for weeds to grow. While it was developed primarily for vegetable seeds to enhance the square foot gardening method, it can be used to plant flower seeds as well. Great for Kids Don’t confuse this bright-colored gardening tool for a toy, although the creators of the Seeding Square definitely had children in mind when they invented this handy tool. Get kids involved in gardening in an easy, fun, and simple way. This tool’s bright colors help it stand out so it doesn’t get lost, or even worse–mowed over–in the yard.
