Sedum oreganum - Oregon Stonecrop

Why do you need this native ground cover in your garden? Without supplemental water and with minimal care required Oregon Stonecrop will spread to fill empty spaces in sunniest, hottest parts of your garden, yet it is relatively well behaved and easy to tame. This evergreen beauty makes an excellent living mulch, reducing weeds and providing your garden with year-round interest with its textural succulent leaves and vibrant yellow flowers in Mid-Summer. These showy flowers will bring a frenzy of native bees and you may even see butterfies sipping its nectar. Speaking of butterflies it is also a host plant to multiple species, providing critical food and refuge during the caterpillar stage of their lifecycle. What a cool way to do good for the environment while adding a pop of color to your garden. Size: 3"-5" tall x 12"-24" wide Light: Sun - Part Sun USDA Zone: 4a-10b
