SunSparkler® Dazzleberry Sedum

Add this jewel-toned groundcover to your landscape this season, and let it shine for you! SUNSPARKLER® Dazzleberry Sedum (Sedum 'Dazzleberry') features clear, raspberry-toned clusters of star-shaped blooms that last for many weeks to wrap up your summer. It stays colorfast even through high heat and humidity! Introduced by breeder Chris Hansen, Dazzleberry is one of the best of the best groundcover Sedum varieties! Tiny, succulent, smokey blue-gray foliage is restful and cool from spring through fall. This Sedum spreads wide and covers the bare lower stems of taller plants. The raspberry blooms start earlier than other Sedum varieties. The colorful blooming clusters last for almost two months! Dazzleberry Sedum, also known as Stonecrop, is cold hardy, deer resistant, heat, and drought tolerant throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9. It takes on a long-lasting pinkish color in autumn and creates a soft, natural look all season long. In the fall, look out! The raspberry-colored flowers of this groundcover perennial create a larger-than-life texture and visual impact. Dazzleberry is even ever'green' in the warmer zones! Planting and Application: This cute little groundcover fills in bare spots and softens the look of all your plantings. It naturally grounds your plantings in a very pleasing way! Think of groundcover plants as the polished "pedicure" of your garden that makes everything look tip-top. These useful ornamental plants are akin to "wood putty" that smooth over minor imperfections in woodworking. Layer in these tiny, ground-hugging plants to suppress weeds and finish the look of your garden design. These details are one of the best-kept secrets of professional garden designers! Dazzleberry is the best solution for hard-to-plant banks, steep slopes, and that dusty garden spot that bakes in the sun. Plant them 10 inches apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next. They can be planted closer for a faster carpet of color and the fabulous bold color really draws the eye. Why not create ultra-modern displays with en masse plantings? No need to go too wide. Narrow slices of brilliant color would be very effective, as well. Use several plants together to create a long ribbon of color that ties your whole design together. Don't have a yard? No problem! Try planting them in a container for your balcony or deck! They are perfect for that one container you have that doesn't get watered as often as it should, too. Use them as a lovely "filler" at the edge of all of your exterior container plantings. They'll naturally spill over the side of the pot to give a lovely effect. Use Dazzleberry by themselves, or create a collection of Sedums from the SUNSPARKLER® series. They'll be perfectly happy decorating Rock Gardens, or spilling down the top of a retaining wall. Sedums are also great for water-wise, Xeriscape gardens. Give them water to get them established, and they'll thrive for you, even in low-water situations. These plants are on many states' Firewise lists for use in defensible spaces around your home and other structures. You'll love the bright "pop" of color at the end of the season. So will butterflies! They'll come a-calling, looking for easy access to a rich nectar source.
