Cocaine: One Man’s Seduction (Oversized Nosebleed Dennis Weaver Portrait)

Cocaine: One Man’s Seduction — Promo Tee (Imaginary, 1983) The TV movie that absolutely did not have merch… until now. Originally airing in 1983, Cocaine: One Man’s Seduction was peak made-for-TV moral drama — earnest, cautionary, and soaked in that unmistakable early-’80s network gravitas. The film starred Dennis Weaver as the respectable father whose suburban stability unravels under the weight of addiction. But the real deep-cut delight? A young James Spader in one of his early roles — pre-Brat Pack smirk, pre-Pretty in Pink cool — already radiating that icy, privileged intensity that would define his career. His wife was played by Karen Grassle (best known as Caroline Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie), bringing grounded, straight-laced sincerity to the domestic fallout. And yes — Jeffrey Tambor appears as well, years before Arrested Development or Transparent, delivering supporting-role seriousness in full 1980s dramatic mode.
