Seaside - Signed & Numbered

An art book presenting the recent paintings of illustrator and occasional bande dessinee artist Avril. This is a numbered limited edition with a removable art print signed by the artist bound into the front. Text is in both English and French. Out of print. From the publisher: Known for his children's books and comic strips, François Avril has established himself as one of the major illustrators of our time. His feature immediately seduced the press and advertising, ensuring him recognition with the public. He is also one of the first comic strip artists to try his hand at painting successfully. If the city has long been the favorite setting for his paintings, Avril has been exploring the resources offered by Mother Nature for the past ten years. Closely linked to Brittany, the artist takes hold of the seaside and creates an imaginary coast, reconstructed from scratch. A formidable chromist, he also knows how the harmony of colors is an essential element of seduction.
