Sea Turtle Rising

An Upward GazeA sea turtle ascends through the frame, bathed in amber, burnt sienna, and warm orange. The close angle puts you right there with the animal, its dark shell plates outlined in white against a softly brushed background. A hint of cool blue at the eye is the only departure from the sun-soaked palette. The style is loose and graphic, confident without being heavy, and the mood is one of quiet, unhurried movement. This piece sits comfortably within our Animals and Coastal & Ocean collections, and the warm tones connect naturally with everything in our Earth Tone Art gallery. Warm. Still. Close.A sea turtle fills the canvas in deep amber and burnt sienna, shell plates crisp against a brushy orange ground. It's calm without being quiet. The kind of piece that holds a room together without trying.
