Sea Turtle

Once while snorkeling along the surface out of a bay, I noticed a sea turtle about 20 feet below and ahead of me. It was using its front flippers like wings. It steadily and gracefully coursed out to sea.   Green Sea Turtles spend most of their lives swimming in the oceans, so we rarely get to see them.  When they come on shore to lay eggs in the dark of night, you may get to see one.  The mothers leave tracks in the sand, allowing turtle guardians to identify nest sites and protect them from vehicles, raccoons, and people.  Artwork by Craig Blackhill Design # 1670 1670t 1670p 1670r
