SE Bikes Eluder Threadless Headset – 1-1/8"

The SE Bikes Eluder is a fully sealed, threadless headset designed for bikes using a standard 1-1/8" steerer. It’s built for smooth steering, durability, and low maintenance, making it a solid choice for BMX and BMX-inspired builds. This headset is commonly used when replacing worn bearings or during a frame build where reliable, sealed performance is preferred. Key Features • Fully sealed threadless headset design • 6061-T6 alloy cups for strength and low weight • Tange Seiki sealed bearings with Technoglide technology • Custom flat top cap with repeating SE Bikes wing pattern • Smooth, consistent steering feel Compatibility & Use Notes • SHIS: EC34/28.6 (upper) | EC34/30 (lower) • Fits frames with 34mm head tube bores • Designed for 1-1/8" threadless steerers (28.6mm) • Crown race size: 30mm • Not compatible with integrated or tapered head tubes • Silver, black, gold, blue, or red finish Service / Ownership Context Headset cups must be pressed squarely into the frame to prevent binding or premature wear. Bearing preload should be set carefully—too tight leads to rough steering, too loose causes play. Periodic inspection is recommended on bikes ridden hard. Fit & Use Signals • Good fit for BMX and BMX-style frames with 34mm head tubes • Good fit if your fork uses a 1-1/8" straight steerer • Good fit for sealed, low-maintenance headset setups • Not a fit for integrated headset frames • Not a fit for tapered steerer forks
