OT90/OT90M2 is a Czechoslovakian modernization of the Soviet BMP series armored personnel carriers. It has the OT-64 turret instead of the original turret. It also has Infrared searchlight son the turret. The one man turret has the 14.5 mm KPVT and a 7.62 mm PKVT machine guns mounted on the front. The conversions took place after the Conventional Forces Europe Treaty which classified the 76mm armed BMP as a “tank.” By removing the main gun this vehicle was then considered an armored personnel carrier and not subject to the same restrictions.
