Sd.Kfz. 251/3 Ausf. D (command)

Sd.Kfz. 251/3 Ausf. D miniature, representing the German command and communications variant of the armored half-track used during World War II. Based on the Sd.Kfz. 251 Ausf. D chassis, this version was equipped with radio equipment to coordinate armored and mechanized units on the battlefield. Designed as a mobile command vehicle, the Sd.Kfz. 251/3 allowed officers to maintain communication while advancing with frontline troops. The Ausf. D featured a simplified hull design with fewer armor plates, improving production efficiency while maintaining effective protection. Used extensively during the later years of the war on fronts including the Eastern Front and Western Europe, this communications variant is perfect for WWII dioramas, command scenes, or historical vehicle collections in multiple scales.
