Sculptural Burlwood & Ebonized Console Table

A striking architectural console defined by bold geometry and richly figured burlwood. This statement piece features a dramatically grained burlwood top with a single drawer, framed by stepped detailing that nods to classic Art Deco design. The base is where the piece truly distinguishes itself—a sweeping, ebonized, sculptural form that rises in a dramatic inverted arch, creating both movement and balance beneath the warmth of the wood above. The contrast between the organic burl grain and the clean, graphic black base evokes the glamour of 1930s design while feeling entirely modern. Anchored by a substantial plinth base, the piece has presence without heaviness—equally suited for an entry, gallery wall, or behind a sofa. A rare blend of craftsmanship and form, this console reads as functional furniture and sculptural object in equal measure.
