Screen Time!

Birkett, Georgie & Birkett, Georgie Hardcover Picture Book, 32 pages Can there be any substitute after a little badger discovers the allure of screens? Don't discount the surprising power of creativity, community, and the great outdoors. Gone are the days when Doris was content to build towers of cups and knock them down, listen to Daddy read stories, or use her imagination to put on dance performances and whip up pretend spaghetti. Now she's found something she likes more than anything: screens! Whether on a phone, tablet, or television, Doris can't get enough of her favorite show, Bertie Banana. She watches it over and over, cuddles its toys, sings its special song, and begs for it everywhere she goes. Her parents would be happy never to hear that song again! So one weekend Daddy takes Doris by the hand and heads for the Cheery Woods (everyone is there!), letting the magic of the natural world take its course. Who knew this little screen-lover would become such a fan of real-life adventure? From the creator of Carry Me! comes an all-too-relatable picture book that will have both children and parents tuning in with rapt attention.
