Screen 100 by Alvar Aalto

The Artek Screen 100 by Alvar Aalto is a sculptural yet functional piece that brings warmth, movement, and versatility to any interior. Designed by the renowned Finnish architect, this screen showcases Aalto’s skill in blending traditional materials with organic, flowing forms. Crafted from fine pinewood strips arranged vertically, the Artek Screen 100 combines natural texture with visual rhythm. Its flexible design allows it to be rolled up for easy storage or unfurled to form straight lines or soft, curving shapes. This adaptability makes the Artek Screen 100 ideal for dividing rooms, creating quiet nooks, or adding a decorative element to an open space. At 150 cm tall, it offers a sense of enclosure without fully blocking sight lines, maintaining an airy, open feel. Despite its generous presence, the screen is lightweight and easy to move. Its minimalist form and natural wood tone work well in both modern and classic interiors. Whether used for privacy or as a design feature, the screen’s elegant proportions and tactile quality enhance any setting. A testament to Aalto’s timeless design philosophy, the Artek Screen 100 remains a beautiful and practical object for contemporary living.
