Screaming Eagle 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2019 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon is another exceptional vintage from this iconic Napa Valley estate, benefiting from a near-perfect growing season that produced wines of great balance, power, and finesse. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of ripe blackberries, black cherries, and cassis, complemented by delicate floral notes of violets and lavender. There are also hints of graphite, cedar, and subtle earthy tones, with a touch of sweet spice and cocoa emerging as the wine opens up. On the palate, the 2019 Screaming Eagle showcases its signature refinement and elegance. The dark fruit flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum are intense yet beautifully balanced by well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that keeps the wine fresh and lively. As it evolves, notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and a hint of licorice add complexity, along with a whisper of crushed stones and herbs that provide a subtle earthiness. The finish is long, seamless, and impeccably smooth, lingering with flavors of ripe dark fruits, sweet spices, and a hint of minerality. The 2019 vintage is lauded for its impeccable balance between power and finesse, making it approachable in its youth but also a candidate for long-term aging. With its depth, precision, and polished structure, this vintage continues Screaming Eagle’s tradition of producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignons that stand the test of time.
