Scratch Minnow – Micro Baitfish Fly

Sometimes the smallest fly in the box gets the biggest attention. The Scratch Minnow is an ultra-small baitfish pattern designed and tied by FINATICS Pro Staff Chase Smith of Canal Bum Flies. This is one of the smallest fully formed baitfish patterns we’ve seen, giving you a true minnow profile when fish are keyed in on extremely small forage. Built on an Ahrex XO784 BC Game Changer Hook in the tiny 8mm size, the Scratch Minnow packs a surprising amount of baitfish profile into an incredibly compact fly. Its small footprint makes it an excellent option for trout, panfish, carp and bass, particularly when fish are feeding on fry and other tiny baitfish or when a larger streamer is simply too much. Available in three colors: Purple & Black Chartreuse & White Olive & Orange Hook: Ahrex XO784 BC Game Changer – 8mm Designed & Tied By: Chase Smith – Canal Bum Flies / FINATICS Pro Staff Price: $4.95 each Tiny fly. Real baitfish profile. Put a couple in the box—you'll find something that wants to eat them.
