The Scorpio Mala – Gemstone Properties If you have a Scorpio Sun, Moon, or Ascendant sign in your astrological birth chart you may find the gemstones in this mala to be of interest. Obsidian loosens rigidities. Obsidian is known for relaxing constrictions in the shoulder and neck area that often plague Scorpio. This comes from their iron will, which does not allow them to let go and give their thoughts free reign. Agate’s crystalline inclusions give Scorpio the purity and clarity to recognize their inner nature. With its help, they may maintain this inner purity to face the many difficulties that life has to offer. A Dzi agate bead is a sacred stone bead, originating from Tibet and surrounding regions, prized for its symbolic patterns believed to bring protection, luck, and spiritual benefits. Quartz crystal is the ideal meditation stone and is used in this mala as the guru/end bead above the tassel. Quartz crystal has an “enlightening” and relaxing effect on all the chakras. Rosewood is often associated with promoting emotional balance, compassion, and a sense of calm, making it a popular choice for those seeking to support mindfulness and well-being practices. Not a Scorpio? Agate has the power to harmonize yin and yang. A soothing and calming stone, agate works slowly but brings great strength, raising consciousness and awareness of the oneness of life. Obsidian is a protective stone that repels negativity and disperses unloving thoughts. Brings clarity to the mind and clears confusion and narrow beliefs.
