Schweitzer Mountain Blend

Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters crafted Schweitzer Mountain Blend as a bridge coffee—one that captures the rich, comforting body of a dark roast while preserving the bright, nuanced flavors of a medium roast. Named after Schweitzer Mountain Resort in northern Idaho, where the Evans family has skied for generations, this blend draws on carefully selected Latin American coffees to deliver depth, balance, and approachability in every cup. Tasting NotesExpect layers of semi-sweet chocolate and caramel up front, grounded by a full, velvety body that coats the palate without overwhelming it. A whisper of citrus—think candied orange peel—lifts the finish, adding just enough brightness to keep each sip interesting. The acidity is gentle and rounded, making this an easy drinker for both dark roast devotees and those who prefer lighter, fruitier profiles. It's a true crowd-pleaser, the kind of coffee you can serve at brunch without worrying whether your guests lean toward bold or delicate. Brew MethodsSchweitzer Mountain Blend shines across nearly every brew method. As drip coffee or in a pour over, it delivers clean chocolate and caramel with that hint of citrus complexity. In a French press, the body amplifies beautifully—rich and mouth-coating, with the darker roast characteristics taking center stage. It also pulls a surprisingly elegant espresso, offering sweetness and body without bitterness, and plays well in milk-based drinks where its chocolate notes meld seamlessly with steamed milk. If you're using an automatic drip brewer, this blend will reward you with consistency and forgiveness, making it ideal for morning routines or office setups.
