School Phobia ~ Subliminal

School Phobia — School phobia is a complex syndrome that can be influenced by the child's temperament, the situation at school, and the family situation. Current thinking defines school phobia or school refusal as an anxiety disorder related to separation anxiety. It can vary from outright refusal to attend or stay in school to a more aggressive defensive attitude in school—throwing tantrums, tossing objects, and so forth. Sometimes the unruly child is actually suffering from some form of school phobia and it can go undiagnosed by teachers, counselors, and parents alike. Help your child become more comfortable in school, gain a sense of security, and add to their self-esteem! There are many reasons for children to find school difficult, especially in the beginning years. They’re away from home and the security home represents, in a new environment with many strangers, forced to comply with new rules, exposed to dangers practiced in fire alarm drills, and so forth. All of these factors, and more, load the child with apprehension and uncertainty.  Lots of children dislike school, but for some kids this dislike can be an actual phobia.
