School Dance Dress 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

Your 18 inch doll will be ready for the School Dance in her easy to make and fun to wear dress. Use colorful prints and solids and mix and match the front and sleeves to create a unique look every time you sew. Change the fabrics to match the seasons and your doll is ready for the holidays, back to school, Valentine's Day or Easter. The School Dance Dress is an easy to sew pattern to make a long sleeved dress in three variations. Add elastic to the sleeves or leave it out for a fuller look. Choose the simplest version with a solid front (perfect for machine embroidery, heat transfer vinyl, or appliqué), or add a contrasting panel with simple, straight edges or a pretty, princess seam. BONUS: Instructions included for an attached bow, belt or ribbon to tie in front or back to embellish your dress and create your own style. This classic but simple dress is very easily made from a quarter yard of fabric (quilter's fat quarters work great!) in a woven cotton or other lightweight fabric. Mix and match your fabrics and add trims for unlimited design options. Embellish your dress with embroidery, appliqué, heat transfer vinyl, buttons, bows, crystals, ribbon, trim, ric rac, lace, chain, beads, or any other fun trim you like! With a hook and loop tape closure in back, it's easy on and off for little hands.
