Schmidt Edelux II Headlight

Premium Dynamo Headlight with Exceptional Beam Quality The Schmidt Edelux II Headlight represents the pinnacle of hub dynamo lighting technology, delivering exceptional illumination for serious cyclists who ride in all conditions. Powered by a 6-volt AC hub dynamo, this German-engineered headlight produces up to 100 lux at high speed with a 3-watt LED that provides uniform, flicker-free light even at low speeds. The beam pattern is expertly shaped using Busch & Müller's IQ-Tec Premium mirror design, creating a wide, evenly distributed light field that focuses well into the distance—ideal for descending mountain passes at night or navigating dark roads and traffic. Built to last a lifetime, the Edelux II features a robust aluminum housing that ensures optimal cooling and durability, sealed watertight with a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective glass lens that won't fog, age, or degrade like plastic alternatives. The high-power LED is soldered onto a copper heatsink mounted directly to the aluminum housing for superior thermal management. An integrated standlight provides bright illumination for up to 4 minutes after you stop, and the magnetic switching ring allows easy operation even when wearing gloves. The coaxial feed cable is firmly soldered and potted within the housing to eliminate vulnerable connectors. Built to Last Produces up to 100 lux at high speed with 90 lux at 15 kph (German standard measurement). 3-watt high-power LED provides exceptional brightness and longevity. Uniform, flicker-free light output even at low speeds thanks to 6V AC hub dynamo power. IQ-Tec Premium mirror design creates automotive-quality low-beam pattern. Wide beam pattern illuminates road evenly from near field to distance. Focuses light on the road ahead, not into oncoming traffic or drivers' eyes. Near field begins close to front wheel for complete road coverage. Robust aluminum housing provides excellent cooling and extreme durability. High-quality anti-reflective glass lens resists scratches, fogging, and aging. LED soldered onto copper heatsink with direct aluminum housing contact for optimal thermal conduction. Sealed watertight construction withstands rain, snow, and harsh weather. Bright standlight automatically illuminates for 4 minutes after stopping (not just "be seen" visibility). Magnetic switching ring allows easy on/off/auto operation, even with gloves. Coaxial feed cable firmly soldered and potted in housing eliminates vulnerable connectors. Rear light connection via spade connector and ring terminal (can run without rear light connected). Standard version not compatible with DC current (e-bike version available separately). Available in multiple wire lengths and finishes for different mounting applications.
