Schlage SM10

Are you following in the footsteps of the US Government and blue-chip companies by switching over your employee's identification credentials to smart cards and need a new reader to authenticate them?  The SM10 card reader from Schlage is a popular choice among executives and managers who need smart only access control.  The reader is small enough to let you install it in areas where you only have a minimal amount of space, for instance narrow stile openings.  Before purchasing, verify that all personnel are properly credentialed with a smart ID card.  The SM10 will not communicate with cards on a proximity platform.  The Schlage multi-technology reader MT11 is a better option for environments with a mix of prox and smart.  ISO compliant and using a Wiegand interface, the SM10 is compatible with virtually all physical access control systems.  It's modern design makes it an attractive choice for applications where aesthetics are important.  Reader comes embedded with NFC (near field communication) technology to protect your investment and future proof it against emerging mobile badging technologies.
