Scheherazade Ballet Image

This print is adapted from artwork designed for a ballet award certificate. Like Rimsky-Korsakov's music, this image evokes the mystery, the elegance, and the exotic spices of Persia and the Orient expressed in the passion of classical Russian music. The midnight black background highlights the golden line behind or perhaps above the dancer which echoes the dancer's pose, suggesting both a minaret and the "onion domes" of Russian architecture. See our blog post about Scheherazade for more about the Thousand and One Nights. This print could be a gift for a ballet dancer, either accomplished or aspiring. It could also become dorm room or locker decor for a young lady who loves elegance and mystery. Print details: The artwork is by Ewan Tallentire. The image is professionally printed on 8.5"x11" art cardstock that can be trimmed as desired so the image will fit a standard 8"x10" frame. Note that the digital image shown was saved at a low resolution to deter thieves; the actual print details are very sharp. Ready to ship in 3 business days; ships flat with cardboard backing.
