Schacht Hi-Lo Drop Spindles

Schacht's Hi-Lo drop spindles offer a well-balanced high-whorl and low-whorl drop spindle all in one. Available in three versatile sizes for a broad spectrum of spinning capabilities: 2" (1 ounce), 3" (1.8 ounces), and 4" (2.7 ounces). As they say, it's the best of both whorls for drop spindles: each spindle has a brass hook at the top for high-whorl spinning and a notched/grooved shaft for low-whorl spinning. The spindles are made of hard maple. The small spindle (2” whorl, 1 oz) is best for spinning very fine yarns.  The medium spindle (3” whorl, 1.8 oz) is great for beginners, and for spinning lighter weight yarns. The large spindle (4” whorl, 2.7 oz) is great for novice spinners and for spinning medium-sized yarns.
