Scarpa Alien Alpine Touring Boot

It's pretty tough to find a lightweight price-performing fitness boot that can also double as a race boot. Scarpa filled that gap by introducing the Alien Alpine Touring Boot. Much more stout than the rest of the Alien lineup and built on the same lower as the revered Alien RS, the carbon-infused Grlamid shell matches perfectly with the Grilamid cuff to offer a solid power to weight ratio. The Boa closure ensures a sleek, snug fit over the instep without the hassle of ladder straps or buckles, and is complimented with a waterproof gaiter system that will shed snow so your feet stay warm. The 3D Lambda Torsion Frame offers superb lateral stability and forward stiffness so you can descend with control and confidence, and the Speed Lock Lite ski/walk mechanism is intuitive and robust, ensuring ease of use for all user types. The Scarpa Alien boot will match well for those seeking an entry-level lightweight touring boot that will get you up the hill and down with efficiency and reliability. Whether you're skinning resort laps for fitness, backcountry touring and spring ski mountaineering, or racing the Grand Traverse, the Alien will provide the structure and speed you need at a sweet price point.
