A Victorian brass and iron postal scale, circa 1890–1910, with an engraved “Postal Information”rate chart showing British postal rates for letters, books, parcels, and money orders — a fascinating snapshot of daily life at the turn of the 20th century.   Stamped “DÉPOSÉ” and “Made in Germany”, this elegant balance represents a period when correspondence was both a social and professional art form.
