Martin SC-28E

The Martin SC design has been described as revolutionary, but what sets it apart from the iconic Martin guitars of yesteryear? Really, it's the combination of two cutting-edge elements: 1) the 13-fret cutaway offset SC body, and 2) the Sure Align neck joint. This combination introduces an entirely new instrument optimized for modern-day players, allowing for unparalleled flexibility plugged-in and the lowest, easiest action imaginable on an acoustic. The first SC guitars were built by Martin Mexico, but what happens when you bring this innovative design to the crew in Nazareth, PA? Add iconic Martin Style-28 appointments, and the result is the SC-28E. Featuring a solid Spruce top and solid East Indian Rosewood, the all-new SC-28E pushes Martin's offset concept to new heights, built to the spec level of the Standard Series. With modern playability and iconic Martin looks, the SC-28E pairs technology with timeless style and tone. The offset SC body feels comfortable and manageable on your lap, but it still produces a full, robust sound. The Sure Align neck system allows you to play all the way up the neck, while the low-profile velocity neck barrel fits comfortably in your hand. This acoustic feels as playable and fast as an electric guitar. With the time-tested Spruce/Rosewood combination, the SC-28E produces shimmering highs, deep bass, and rich overtones for that classic Martin sound. Equipped with LR Baggs Anthem electronics, this new Martin model is ready for the stage or the studio.  Body Size: S-13 Fret Cutaway Top: Spruce Back & Sides: East Indian Rosewood Construction: Sure Align® Linear Dovetail Neck Joint Bracing Pattern: Tone Tension X-Brace Brace Shape: Treble Side Scalloped X with Scalloped Tone Bars Braces: Spruce, 5/16" with 1/4" Tone Bars Scale Length: 25.4" Nut: Bone, 1-3/4'' Neck Material: Select Hardwood Neck Profile: Low Profile Velocity w/ High-Performance Taper Fingerboard Material: Ebony Fingerboard Width at 12th Fret: 2 1/8'' Fingerboard Inlay: Mother-of-Pearl Style 28 Number of Frets Total: 20 Neck Finish: Satin Body Finish : Gloss Top Color: Aging Toner Binding: Antique White Rosette: Multi-Stripe Top Inlay Material: Multi-Stripe Back Purfling/Strip: Style-28 Back Inlay Material: Black Stripe Bridge: Ebony Sloped Modern Belly w/ Drop in Saddle Bridge Pins: White Plastic w/ Tortoise Dots Pickguard: Tortoise Pattern Saddle: Compensated Bone, 2-5/32" Spacing Saddle Radius: 16" Headstock Shape: Solid with Square Taper Tuning Machines: Nickel Open Gear w/ Butterbean Knobs Headplate Material: East Indian Rosewood Headplate Logo Style: Script Old Style Overlay Electronics: LR Baggs Anthem
