SC-01 Speech Chip Replacement/Emulator (Votrax)

The SC-01 Speech Chip Emulator replaces Votrax speech chips used in various arcade games such as Gorf, Wizard of Wor, Q*Bert and others.  The SC-01 was also used on the Apple Mockingboard, Atari Alien Voice Box and similar sound boars for the era as well as games like the Votrax Type N’ Talk! This replacement for the SC-01 can be used to restore missing voice speech to your classic Arcade or Retro Computer as the original SC-01 is basically unavailable and those that are left are unfortunately doomed to fail if kept in use. Works with the following: Alien Voice Box I & II Apple Mockingboard* Black Hole pinball Caveman arcade Devil’s Dare pinball Haunted House pinball Heathkit HERO 01 (ET-18) Heathkit HERO Jr. (RT-1) Gorf arcade Krull arcade Q*Bert arcade Reactor arcade Rocky arcade Striker arcade Votrax Type ‘N Talk Wizard of Wor arcade game * The SC-01 emulator does not work with the Mockingboard clones from Reactive Micro.
