The skeleton, a symbol often associated with mortality and the afterlife. Its bony fingers delicately hold and cradle the moon, creating a juxtaposition between the celestial and the macabre. This juxtaposition invites contemplation on the transitory nature of life and our limited time on Earth. The moon itself plays a significant role. Often associated with mystery, dreams, and the ethereal. Its presence in this painting invites interpretations such as the passage of time, the cycle of life, or even the transcendence of death. The cat on the skeletons shoulder, eyes shut but 3rd eye open suggests that him and his Bony friend share a relationship that perhaps the cat sees metaphors in life and sends them to the skeleton. The skeleton now can take those metaphors and clearly see them using his 3d glasses. There’s a few other details that are in the painting that wait for discovery. Overall, this painting prompts the viewer to explore themes of life's impermanence, the mystery of existence, and the interplay between darkness and light. It is a testament to the ability to capture both beauty and profundity in a single image.
