Saturn V Rocket Silk Scarf

Used by NASA's Apollo and Skylab programs from 1966 until 1973, thirteen were launched from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida with no loss of crew or payload. It remains the tallest, heaviest, and most powerful rocket ever brought to operational status and still holds the record for heaviest payload launched. To date, the Saturn V is the only launch vehicle to transport human beings beyond low Earth orbit. A total of 24 astronauts were launched to the Moon, three of them twice, in the four years spanning December 1968 through December 1972. 13.5" x 69" + knotted fringe, soft, extremely lightweight gauzy and delicate. Note: minor imperfections are part of the charm and character of handcrafted silk.  We are discontinuing our line of silk scarves and are sold out or low on most of the colors. But we can still print our scarf designs on what's left! Check out this photo to peep the current stock level and either shoot us a message to place your order or tell us in the "Notes to Seller" at the checkout which color you'd like. Our silk fair trade scarves are purchased directly from the weavers in Thailand at the price they set. CARE: machine wash on delicate in a mesh bag or carefully hand wash cold; lay flat or hang to dry. You may iron on the design with a dry iron on medium heat.
