Satin Shell Crab Post Earrings

Sterling silver crab post earrings with satin shell. Our Satin Shell Crab Post Earrings combine high polished and brushed satin sterling silver for a sophisticated, modern feel. These substantial, but super lightweight earrings sit up on the ear lobe, and are a very refined and polished way to wear a little bit of Chesapeake bay heritage. Blue crabs are iconic to the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. Named for their blue claws, these creatures are vital to the bay ecosystem. Crabs shed their skins in order to grow, and therefore they can be a symbol of the cycles of life and rebirth.  What is a satin finish? A satin finish is in between a brushed and a glossy finish. A brushed finish is more rustic looking and you will see and feel a textured finish. A glossy finish is very shiny and smooth. You will be able to see your reflection when looking directly at this finish. A satin finish, like glossy, is also smooth to the touch but it doesn't have the high shine, rather has a matte finish. This finish beautifully accents our Satin Shell Crab Post Earrings.
